The First Men In The Moon Picture

My entry for the Storytelling challenge here at CGHub. It's a fictional book cover for H.G.Well's "The first men in the moon".

I wanted to build up my illustration portfolio a bit, always had this desire to produce cover and trading card art, so it was the perfect opportunity besides my concept art work, which keeps me very busy right now. So I only had about 2 days, basically weekend, to paint. And I have to say I'm surprised I got that far. Still a lot of things to improve though... but there always has to be an end. :)
