Venice 2700 (A.D) Picture

I had a vision of this image in my mind for a long time. It's from a story that I am working on right now. I am a big fan of any  architecture that is associated with bodies of water. I started to look at a lot of Italian architecture to do this matte concept.
I also entered a contest on this subject which was hosted by Bobby Chiu(Alice in wonderland concept artist) and judged by Dylan Cole(Avatar concept art director).  Due to lack of time, it had a lot of flaws but I still managed to win it.;). After that, I worked on it for a day to finish it off. It was 100% completed in Photoshop  with no use of http://3D.it has completed in a time period of 3 days.
