Roger Hom is a Visual Development & 3D Artist experienced in all aspects of 3D pre-production and production, from concept art and storyboarding to modeling, animation, texturing, lighting and compositing. Hom has directed live action camera matchmoving and integration into 3d pipelines. His work is informed by his background in architecture and design.
He has worked on multiple Broadcast Design Award winning projects. Various publications showcase his projects, including: VFX Artistry: A Visual Tour of How the Studios Create Their Magic by Spencer Drate & Judith Salavetz. He has worked with some of the leading brands in the commercial and entertainment industry including, AT&T, Universal, Sprint, ESPN, Sundance, Playboy, NBC, NickToons, MTV, HGTV, Spike TV, LG, Whirlpool, Maytag and America’s Most Wanted.
His work has been exhibited in NYC at Artists Space, NYC ACM SIGGRAPH MetroCAF Animation Festival , Big Apple Film Festival, Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA), Zero Film Festival, Brussels Film’eon, Canadian Film Centre, Festivus Film Festival, suckerPUNCH, Zakka, and the Urban Experience Museum.
He earned a Master of Fine Art in Computer Art from the School of Visual Arts, a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell Unviersity.
