I'm the daughter of a Renaissance Festival family. In my childhood, knights and squires and so on were my reality and trips into town to get supplies were the strange part. A lot of people have no idea what it's like to live this way and often only think of the absurdity of the situation, but in reality it's an interesting microcommunity composed entirely of artists and actors all doing their own work, targeting an audience and living in an offbeat situation with style. What I try to take away from my 15 years as a 16th century vagabond living in today's world is a unique perspective, a high value on the power of friendship, honesty, and the will to succeed.
